She was predeceased by: her husband Floyd "Dab" Recil Laney Sr.; and her daughters, Patty Laney of Maiden and Penny Laney of Maiden. She is survived by: her children, Floyd Recil Laney Jr. (Sharon) of Maiden and Sandy Laney Arndt (David) of Sherrills Ford; her grandchildren, Dana Arndt Johnson (Chris) of Catawba, Eric David Little (Whitney) of Maiden, Allison Arndt Burgin (Mattney) of Sherrills Ford, Margaret "Maggie" Ann Laney of Charlotte and Ryan Matthew Laney of Charlotte; and her great grandchildren, Kara Burgin, Jacob "Jake" Little, Alexandria "Andi" Johnson, Brooks Burgin and Zach Johnson.
