He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, George "Tooney" Carlton Lowman, Jr. and Evelyn Pauline Clark Lowman; his wife Doris Lowman; his children, Lisa Wingler (Kenny) of Hamptonville, Melissa Mooney (Bryon Jr.) of Conover, John D. Willis, Jr. (Susan) of Lincolnton, Robert Gibson Jr. (Chelsea) of Stanley and Keith Lowman of Taylorsville; and his siblings, Myra Keener (Nathan) of Lincolnton, Heidi Lawing (Lee) of Newton and Tony Lowman (Debbie) of Maiden.
