She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Mitchum and Norma Biggerstaff Mitchum Stine; and her husband Summey Chapman. She is survived by: her children, Clay Chapman (Lisa Lowe) of Sherrills Ford and Ceil Matthews (Larry) of Durham; and her grandson Joseph Matthews of Efland, NC..
