It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marshall Ray Cansler of Maiden, North Carolina, born in Catawba, North Carolina, who passed away on November 3, 2021, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Eben Craig Cansler and Lillie Goforth Cansler; his siblings, Troy, Leonard, Paul, Carl Cansler and Mildred Whitener; and his brother-in-law Bob Odell.
He is survived by: his wife Peggy Lineberger Cansler; his children, Rick Cansler (Sandra) of Maiden, Connie Rhodes (Kenneth) of Maiden, Wendy C. Stout of Maiden and Melanie Bumgarner (John) of Maiden; his grandchildren, Adam Cansler, Nathan Rhodes, Dalton Stout, Mason Bumgarner, Cooper Bumgarner, Kristy Brown, Marcie Rufty and Reese Bumgarner; and his siblings, Vernon Cansler (Ruth), Richard Cansler (Arcola) and Alice Odell. He is also survived by 11 Great-Grandchildren.
