He is survived by: his children, Cynthia McQuellon (Richard) of Winston-Salem, NC, Jim Heffner (Carol) of Alexandria, VA, Nancy Henry (Dennis) of Newton, NC and Sarah Heffner of Maiden, NC; his grandchildren, Carrie Foard (Travis) of Maiden, NC, Meghan McCandless (Greg) of Boone, NC, Brendan McQuellon (Kelly) of Winston-Salem, NC and Cameron Coulter of Maiden, NC; and his great grandchildren, Bryson Foard, Carson Foard, Dillon McCandless, Bowen McCandless and Evie McQuellon.
