He was predeceased by: his parents, Cyril Hammer Sr. and Ethel Evans Hammer. He is survived by: his wife Paula Cooke Hammer; his daughters, Lori H Sykes (Gerald) of Winston Salem, NC and Amy H Scronce (Tracy) of Newton, NC.; his grandsons, Jordan Sykes, Austin Sykes and Tyler Scronce; his brother Jerry L Hammer (Betty); and his brother-in-law Ronald Cooke of Hickory. He is also survived by two nieces, two grand nephews.
Due to Covid-19, a private family Celebration of Life service is being planned.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Viewmont Baptist Church for the Viewmont Baptist Church Sabbath Soup Kitchen or Children's Ministry.
