With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Clifford Laney Burke (Maiden, North Carolina), born in Catawba, North Carolina, who passed away on March 16, 2020 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Belton Day and Della Laney Burke; his son Ricky "Rick" Marion Burke; his son-in-law Danny "Pete" Hood; and his brothers, Bill and David Burke.
He is survived by: his wife Martha Turbyfill Burke; his daughter Debbie Hood of Maiden; his daughter-in-law Bobbie Jones Burke of Maiden; his grandchildren, Jeremy Hood of Newton, Jason Hood (Candi) of Maiden, Bradley A. Burke (Jennifer) of Catawba, Emily Yilmaz (Ozgur) of Conover and Nick Burke (Katie) of Maiden; and his sisters, Ivanell Burke of Maiden and Rachel Blackburn of Lincolnton.
