He was predeceased by: his father John Robert Puckett, Sr.; and his siblings, Georgia Mae Dalton, Annie Bonton, Nova Atkins, Martha Boyd, Elsie Naseef and John Robert Puckett, Jr..
He is survived by: his wife Betty Dodson Puckett; his siblings, Elvie "Tootsie" P. Craig (Ralph) and Gurney Myers (Joanne); and his nieces and nephews, Dodson and Cox.
