He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Barker and Nellie Barker; his daughter Donna Barker Smith; his wife Christine Kinlaw; his granddaughter Chonda Smith; and his brother Charlie Barker.
He is survived by: his son William Thomas Barker, Jr. (Carol); and his grandchildren, William Thomas Barker III (Megan) of Raleigh, NC, John Kinlaw Barker (Anna) of Raleigh, NC and Blair Barker Hunt (Quinn) of Greenville, SC. He is also survived by 7 great-grandchildren.
