He was predeceased by: his parents, Meta Pearl and James; and his siblings, Jeanette Tolar, Margaret Riddle, Elizabeth Smith and James.
He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Baker Davis; his children, Kenneth, Henrietta Nance (Cliff), Darryl (Cheryl), Gary (Elaine) and James; his grandchildren, Jaime, Lori, Lee Ann (Kevin), Ryan, Matt (Tierney) and Callie (Carson); and his friend Rose Lassiter. He is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, October 27th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Chestnut Street Methodist Church (200 E 8th St, Lumberton, NC 28358). A funeral service was held on Sunday, October 27th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
