He was predeceased by: his father Horace Ray Morgan; and his daughters, Tiffany Lee Morgan and Brittany Marie Morgan. He is survived by: his wife Linda Richardson Morgan; his daughter Samantha Rae Sledge (Brandon); his siblings, Phillip Morgan of Wendell, Bradley Morgan (Melissa) of Wendell and Cindy Roberts of Nashville; and his grandchildren, Makenna Rae Moran, Sterling Ray Sledge and Sawyer Ray Sledge. He is also survived by several cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.

Flowers are welcomed or contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society in memory of Merle.
