He is survived by: his wife Shirley Davis Strickland; his children, Pamela Strickland Kearney (Vashon) of Louisburg, NC, James T. Strickland (Angel) of Youngsville, NC and Michael Strickland of Youngsville, NC; and his brother Al Strickland (Ann) of Louisburg, NC. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
