He was predeceased by: his father Junious B Chatman; and his siblings, Alice Fay and Mack "Rabbit" Chatman. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Daniel Chatman; his children, Kelvin Roberts (Angie), Michael Myers and Loretta Rigsbee; and his brothers, John Chatman (Frances) and Charlie Chatman (Joanie). He is also survived by five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a great great-grandson.
