He was predeceased by: his father Harman McDaniel; and his son Wayne Smith. He is survived by: his wife Doris McDaniel; his children, Sammy McDaniel, Ricky McDaniel, Dwight Smith (Mel), Kathy Ward (Bruce) and Amanda Stewart (Donnie); and his brother Roy McDaniel. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren.
