She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Almer Smith and Effie Hartsell Smith; her siblings, Joe Smith and Betty Sue Hartsell; her spouse Afton Lambert; her sons, Stephen Lambert (Shirley) and David Lambert (Kathy); her grandchildren, Donna Allen (Larry), Jeff Lambert (Michelle) and Matthew Lambert (Lindsay); her great grandchildren, Danielle Hartsell (Ryan), Hailey Barbee (Devin), Landon Allen (Gabrielle), Jonathan Lambert (Tiffany) and Brittany Medlin (Shawn); and her brother Leroy Smith.
