He is survived by: his children, Jeff Lawing (Shanda) of Lincolnton, Jody Lawing (Megan) of Lincolnton, Chris Lawing (Lauren) of Lincolnton and Kelly Smith (Mitchell) of Iron Station; his fiancé Beverly Reep of Lincolnton; his grandchildren, Katie Aldridge (Chris) of Lincolnton, Allison Nguyen (Peter) of Harrisburg, Henry, Jack Lawing, Madison, Nathan Smith and Weston Lawing; his great grandchildren, Gracie and Rylee Aldridge; and his sisters, Ruth Little (John) of Lincolnton and Brenda Pearce (Forest) of Denver. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
