It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Peggy Chaney Dyke of Lincolnton, North Carolina, who passed away on April 4, 2025, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, William Chaney and Lois Chaney; her husband Gerald Dyke, Sr.; her siblings, Bob, Willie Chaney, Joann Chaney and Virginia Stamey; and her niece Tammy Muterspaw.

She is survived by: her children, Debbie Avery (Donald) of Lincolnton, Jerry Reel (Debbie) of High Shoals and Mike Reel of High Shoals; her siblings, Jane Taylor of Lincolnton and Bud Chaney of Lincolnton; her grandchildren, Shane Reel (Amy), Chad Avery (Wendy), Krissy Patterson (Kenny), Dana Church (Chris) and Chelsea Seagle; and her great grandchildren, Aaron Miller (Jessica), Alexis Miller, Aliyah McLean, Avery Keller (Cameron), Haley Morris, Ashlyn Reel, Tyler Avery, Anistyn Reel and Sutton Seagle. She is also survived by three great-great-grandchildren, along with her entire family.

Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of High Shoals, PO Box 37, High Shoals, NC, 28077, where she was a lifetime member.
