With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mackie Darius Canipe (Lincolnton, North Carolina), who passed away on June 7, 2024 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Mackie Darius leaves behind and his impact on the lives of his loved ones. Though Mackie Darius may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the memories held dear by his family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Jim Canipe and Monta Cook Canipe. He is survived by: his wife Mildred Setzer Canipe; his daughters, Cynthia Syster (Gerald) of Hilton Head, SC and Suzan Mozeley of Charlotte; and his grandchildren, Kristen Ward-Robinson (Brad), Kelly Burns (Christopher), Lisa Blue (Brandon) and James Mozeley.
