She is survived by: her parents, David Ford (Penny) of Lincolnton and Connie Drum Carter of Havelock; her husband Michael Schmitt; her children, Jasper Schmitt and Lillee Schmitt; and her brothers, Robert Wesley Ford, Adam Ford and Justin Ford.
