She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Lynn and Bertie Carpenter Lynn; her husband Rathmul Helms; and her siblings, Ruth Johnson and Bobby Lynn.
She is survived by: her sons, Jeff Helms (Sandra) of Lincolnton and Mike Helms (Libby) of Lincolnton; and her grandchildren, Heather Robson (Brad), Natalie Minton (Logan), Abby O'Connor (Patrick) and Dustin Helms (Sarah). She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
