With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Vernon Bowman (Liberty, North Carolina), born in Jacksonville, Florida, who passed away on December 12, 2019 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Martha York Bowman; his parents, Rietzel Bowman and Georgia Hancock Bowman; and his siblings, Dorothy Gray, Howard Bowman, Cecil Bowman and Arthur Ray Bowman.
He is survived by: his sons, Vernon Bowman Jr. (Teresa) of Asheboro and Mickey Bowman (Shelly) of Staley; his sisters, Lula Mae Bowman of Asheboro and Merle Veasey of Florence, SC; and his grandchildren, Joey Bowman (Kelly) of Staley, Josh Bowman (Amber) of Staley, Jarod Bowman (Rachel) of Asheboro, James Bowman (Rachel) of Asheboro, Daniel Bowman of Liberty and Derrick Bowman (Samantha) of Denton.
