He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Lindsay Sowers and Ruth Thompson Sowers; and his wife Carol St. Pierre Sowers. He is survived by: his children, Walter Sowers (Jennifer) of Madison, David Sowers (Dawn) of University Park and Maria Womble (David) of Lewisville; his grandchildren, Kimberly, Mitchell, Jake, Cheyenne, Holli, Grace, Mackenzie and Jarrett; his great grandchildren, Georgia, Reagan, Elliott and Adeline; his brothers, Michael Sowers (Susan) and Alan Sowers (Janet) of Lewisville; and his nieces, Julie Merrell (Brian), Emily Dye (Ernie) and Kristi Sowers. He is also survived by 4 grandnephews and 2 grandnieces.
