He is survived by: his sister Ruth Witherspoon; his brothers-in-law, Royal Abbitt and Robert Watts; his children, Paula Blackwell (Ronnie) of Kernersville, NC, Robin Witherspoon of Lewisville, NC, Tonette Crowell (Wayne) of Kernersville, NC, Karen Witherspoon of Lewisville, NC and Rodney Bess (Alice) of Troy, IL; his former wife Jacqueline Witherspoon Nunn; his grandchildren, Jacques Grace (Kelly) of Symra, Paris Crowell-Washington (Chris), Sandra Blackwell, Wayne Crowell, Jr. of Greensboro, NC, Tony Gorham, Brittany W. Smith of Charlotte, NC, Shanika Candelora (Kevin) of Salisbury, NC and Tameka Blackwell of Kernersville, NC; his siblings, Virginia W. Abbitt of Hyattsville, MD, Gwendolyn W. Watts, Phyllis Witherspoon, Audrey M. Witherspoon and Nathan Witherspoon (Sandra) of Greensboro, NC; and his sister-in-law Deborah Witherspoon. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
