He was predeceased by: his parents, Vernon Cantor, Sr. and Alma McMillon Cantor; his wife Virginia Houck Cantor; and his siblings, Douglas Cantor, Juanita Smith and Mabel Lane.
He is survived by: his daughters, Devon Greer of Lenoir and Debbie Messer (James) of Hickory; his grandchildren, Taylor Greer (Elijah Hedgepeth), Dawton Greer (Megan), Kristen Dunn (James "Jad") of Taylorsville and Kurt Presnell (Emily Clement) of Hickory; his great grandchildren, Aubrie, Saylor Greer and Kayden Presnell; and his close friend Joe Thompson.
