She was predeceased by: her parents, James Helton and Fannie Gaston Helton; her son Tony Corpening; and her siblings, Roy Helton, Preston Helton, Josephine Michaux and Maryetta Helton.
She is survived by: her siblings, Theodore Helton of Lenoir and Robin Anderson of Lenoir. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
