She was predeceased by: her parents, William Shea Puett and Dorothy Hall Puett; her husband Billy Joe Smith; her stepfather Russell Raby; her brothers, George Puett and Robert Puett; and her cousin Brenda Saunders.
She is survived by: her daughter Kelly Tamara Smith of Lenoir; her granddaughter Rachel Shea Smith; her nephews, Monty Puett, Donny and David Puett; her close friend Nancy Morrison of Lenoir; her goddaughter Paula Hopper of Granite Falls; and also, Matthew Ryan Lewis, Lindsey Hillmann, Shirley Bumgarner, Lucy Cook, Pat Woodie and Betty Shew.
