It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lillie Mae Lackey of Lenoir, North Carolina, who passed away on October 30, 2021, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, James Gilbert and Pearl Phelps Gilbert; and her siblings, Douglas Gilbert and Janet Gilbert. She is survived by: her husband James Lackey; her children, James William Lackey (Patrice), Devin Summerlin and Sheila Summerlin; her sisters, Linda Kaufman, Kathy Gilbert, Louise Gilbert and Peggy Shehan; and her grandchildren, Dallas Wilson Coffey, Sal Lackey and Alexis Summerlin.
