He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Earl Greer and Ola Mae Wheeling Greer; and his siblings, Larry Greer, Dennis Greer, Gary Lee Greer and Ruth Hester.

He is survived by: his wife Martha Simmons Greer; and his brother Raymond Earl Greer of Lenoir.
