He was predeceased by: his parents, John Edward Day, Sr. and Georgia Ruth Edney Day. He is survived by: his wife Cindy Hedrick Day; his stepson Ethan Cassavaugh (Kayly); his stepgrandson Levi of Whitsett; his stepson Kelsey Cassavaugh of Lenoir; his son Jared Roberts of Effingham, Illinois; and his brothers, Charles Day of Boone and Andrew Day (Lesley) of Cary. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
