She is survived by: her husband Jeffrey Benfield; her children, Mario Silvas of Lenoir and Rebecca Ridenhour (Geoffrey); her stepdaughter Crystal Douglas of Watauga; her sisters, Gail Stevens of Roan Mountain, TN, Kathy Hughes of Cranberry and Shirley Whitehead of Roan Mountain, TN.; and her grandchildren, Melody, Ivy, Alyce and Gabriel.
