He was predeceased by: his father Don Coy Alvis; and his niece Ashley Renee Cardwell. He is survived by: his mother Lydia Boyett "Jane" Alvis; and his siblings, Scott L. Alvis of Cotopaxi, CO, Donna Alvis of Charlotte, Tia Alvis (Tony Yates) of Lenoir and Cathy Alvis of Hendersonville.
