It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Hilda Bryant Austin (Lenoir, North Carolina), who passed away on December 27, 2021, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, E. W. Bryant and Pearl Tuttle Bryant; her former husband Homer May; her grandchildren, Susan May and David May; and her siblings, Eidth Mahan, Mildred Andrews, Wayne Bryant of Charlotte and Fred Bryant of Davidson, NC.
She is survived by: her husband Claude Austin; and her grandchildren, Kay Austin May, Micahel May (Tara) of Virginia, Scott May (Mindilu) of Missouri and John May of Waxhaw, NC..
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to United Presbyterian Church PO Box 1495 Lenoir, NC 28645.
