Coffey and Mary Ruth Townsend Coffey; his wife Mary Penley Coffey; his children, Randy Coffey (Charlotte) of Caser, Tracy Coffey (Zana) of Caser, Glenda May Wilcox (Kenneth) of Caser and Teresa Tackett (Herman) of North Dakota; his stepchildren, Charles Sanders, Jr. of Lenoir, Danny Coffey of Lenoir, Tina Norris (John) of Morganton, Kathy Coffey of Lenoir, Renee Coffey of Lenoir and Cheryl Coffey of Lenoir; and his brothers, Dayton Coffey of Asheboro and Marvin Coffey of Asheboro.
