He was predeceased by: his parents, Dallas Garfield Cheek and Ruby Phillips Cheek. He is survived by: his daughters, Linda Foster (Jeff) of Blowing Rock and Crystal Cheek of Boone; his grandchildren, Andrea, Jordan Foster of Blowing Rock and Bryson Pearson of Boone; his siblings, Janice Cheek of Boone and Michael Cheek of Taylorsville; his aunt Grace Gentry of Lenoir; his uncle Sherrill Cheek (Pine Swamp Community) of Fleetwood; his niece Lauren Love (Josh); and his nephew Jonathan Cheek (Anna). He is also survived by one great niece; two great nephews; and several cousins.
