She was predeceased by: her parents, Oliver Clark and Susie Clark; her husband Jack Saunders; her daughter Pamela Saunders Pilkenton; her son-in-law Gregory Pilkenton; and her sister Muril Braswell.
She is survived by: her grandsons, Jeffery Pilkenton of Lenoir and Jonathan Pilkenton (April) of Hickory; her siblings, David Leon Clark of Lenoir and Doris Ravanell Kirby (Cecil) of Austin, Texas; and her great grandchildren, Ella Pilkenton, Alyssa McCrary, Alexis McCrary, Trey McCrary and Grayson Weaver. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
