She was predeceased by: her father Leslie McCoy Franklin; her husband Clyde Stewart Powell; and her sister Betty Hartley. She is survived by: her sons, Dale Franklin (Angie) of Granite Falls, Les Franklin (Brenda) of Lenoir and Austin Powell (Brittany) of Granite Falls; her nieces, Jane Thomas of Hudson and Linda Shell of Lenoir; and her grandchildren, Michael Franklin (Eileen) of Granite Falls, Kimberly Franklin (Lacey) of Nebo, Jana Franklin of Charlotte, Jada Franklin of Granite Falls, Joseph Moore (Andrea) of St. Marys and Chris Moore (Kelly) of Maiden.
