With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Barbara McMillan Hightower of Lenoir, North Carolina, who passed away on December 27, 2021 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward L. McMillan and Ruth Riddle McMillan; her husband James L. Hightower; and her brothers, Edward "Bunk" L. McMillan, Jr. and Charles McMillan.

She is survived by: her sons, James Kevin Hightower (Karen) of Lenoir and Forrest Shane Hightower of Lenoir; her grandchildren, Kody Hightower of Lenoir and Karina Hall (Pat) of Lenoir; and her great grandchildren, Kye Ford, Hailey Ford, Dallas Fox, Payton Hall and Harper Hightower.

Due to COVID-19 face masks and social distancing will be required.
