He was predeceased by: his parents, James Davis and Josephine Davis; his brothers, James and Thomas Davis; and his granddaughter Norah Yeats Shao.

He is survived by: his wife Catherine Moelter Davis; his sons, Robert and James Davis (Ling Shao); his siblings, Mary Jo Tydlacke and Richard Davis; and his grandsons, Samuel, Frank, Max and Nicholas Shao. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
