He was predeceased by: his parents, Hoyt Dennis Plemmons and Vivian Cole Plemmons; his wife Sue Brown Plemmons; and his brother Hoyt Plemmons, Jr.. He is survived by: his children, Janet Plemmons Combs of Bristol, Virginia, John David Plemmons, Jr. (Martha) of Leicester and Jennifer Plemmons Robinson of Leicester; his grandchildren, David Combs, Jason Combs, Jonathan Combs, John Mark Plemmons, Christopher Robinson, Andrea Robinson and Brandon Robinson; and his great grandchildren, Madelyn and Bruce.
