He was predeceased by: his parents, Grady Jones and Edna Massey Jones; his son Tim Jones; and his siblings, Betty Payne, Ruth Jones, Jimmy, Grady and Rubin Jones.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Sue Bishop Jones; his children, Deborah Ogle (Larry), Sherrie Jones, Rhonda Jean Hicks (Johnny), Sandy Beaver, Brenda Ingle, Marsha Messer, Gary Jones (Freida), Jason Jones (Vanessa) and Ronald Jones; and his sister Doris Parker. He is also survived by 23 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren.
