He was predeceased by: his granddaughter Gabrielle Pruitte. He is survived by: his wife Brenda Williams Pruitte Starner; his children, James Kenneth "Ken" Pruitte (Shirl), Christopher Blake "Chris" Pruitte (Carol) of Laurel Hill and Paula Fairley of Parkton; his parents, Richard Starner and Mary Frances Starner of Laurel Hill; his siblings, Ricky Starner (Christy), Caroline S. Locklear of Laurel Hill and Mary Ann S. Britt (Smokey) of Wagram; his grandchildren, Austin Pruitte, Faith Pruitte, James Kenneth Pruitte, Jr., Christopher Blake Pruitte, Jr., Nicolas Pruitte, Erin Pruitte, Elijah Pruitte, Chelsea Fairley and Ed Fairley (Cassidy); his great grandchildren, Kameron Locklear, Abbi Locklear, Ariya Wallace, Karah Ann Wallace, Jayden Henderson, Emilee Dickerson and Ezra Fairley; his nephews, Matt Campbell, Mike Campbell, Charlie Locklear, Randy Leviner and Joseph Leviner; and his close friends, James, Jean Daniels and Ruth Ward.
