She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Stubbs and Mixie Odom Stubbs; her husband Danny Hugh Monroe; her son John E. Fairley; and her sisters, Ardessa Mckinnis, Pearl Barkdale, Christine Wallace and Jean Adams.
She is survived by: her son William Fairly (Purnell Bailey) of Hope Mills. She is also survived by six grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren.
