With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Reba Bowen (Lake Waccamaw, North Carolina), who passed away on August 25, 2018 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parent George Blackwell; her husband Marion Tillman Bowen; her sisters, Ora Green and Lorena Duncan; and her nephews, Eugene Green and Rudolph Green.
She is survived by: her parent Willetta Fairfax Blackwell; her children, Richard Bowen (Judy) of Wilmington and Rebecca Bowen of Halifax; her grandsons, Christopher Bowen of Raleigh, N. C., Thomas Bowen (Heidi) of Danville, PA., Ashley, Billy and Richard King of Raleigh; her great grandchildren, Christine Bowen, Michael Bowen of Raleigh, N. C., Anna Bowen, Sarah Bowen of Danville and Julian King of New Bern, N. C; her nieces and nephews, Carolyn Thompson, Wanda Thompson, Shelly Hill (Gene), Pat Green, Jimmy Green, Homer Gray Duncan (Cathy) and Sandra Duncan; and her close friends, Sheryl Allen, Jimmy Grainger, Laura Mae Waddell and Bridgette Baldwin.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Lake Waccamaw United Methodist Church Hand Bell Choir.
