She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Allen and Lettie Lee Allen; and her sister Peggy Allen Parrish. She is survived by: her husband Gary Sherrill Stephenson; her children, Alan Stephenson (Suzanne) of Knightdale, Laura S. Fischer (Gary) of Wake Forest, Karen Stephenson of Knightdale and Kimberly Stephenson-Miles (Kevin) of Tuckasegee; her son-in-law Mike Hess of Wake Forest; her grandchildren, Joshua Bullock (Amber), Sierra Hess, Sarah Miles and Julie Miles; and her great grandchild Mae Elizabeth Bullock. She is also survived by her husband, her children and her friends.
Due to COVID and the safety of family and friends, Mary Ann will lie in state from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm on Sunday, September 26, 2021 at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service & Crematory, 944 Old Knight Road, Knightdale.
