He was predeceased by: his parents, Victor Venton Massey and Margaret Marshall Massey; and his brother Victor Marshall Massey. He is survived by: his wife Sandra Whitley Massey; his children, Marvin Wilson Massey, Jr. (Mary) and Kathryn Jeanette Massey (Scotty); his granddaughters, Kathryn "Katie" Lauren Garrett and Rachel Lin Massey; and his siblings, Esmond Worley Massey (Nancy), Robert Hawkins Massey (Joyce) and Betty Lou Massey Horton (Charles). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
