He was predeceased by: his parents, William Norman Matheson and Nezzie Boswell Matheson; his wife Ollie Brown Matheson; his daughter Lois Elaine Matheson; and his siblings, Alton, Billy, Margaret and Oneda.
He is survived by: his daughters, Margaret M. White (Mike) and Janice M. Lilienthal (John); his grandchildren, Angie W. Dutton (Bobby) and Brian White (Tina); and his great grandchildren, Christa, Caroline and Sam Dutton. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
