He was predeceased by: his parents, Percy Allen Strickland and Daisy Holland Strickland Robertson; his siblings, Jimmie Strickland, Ann Ayscue and Sue Strickland; and his stepfather Sammie Robertson.
He is survived by: his wife Jane Boykin Strickland; his daughter Anita S. Hales (Daryl); his granddaughters, Kaytlin Hales (Bryce Cullipher) and Kameron Hales (Kevin Dannelly); his great grandchildren, Nick, Chris and Alex; and his sisters, Becky Jo Saunders and Tammy S. House (William). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
