She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Williams and Meta Stroud Williams; her former husband Joseph E. Jackson; and her close friend Dr. William Sumner. She is survived by: her children, Jonathan J. Jackson and Laura L. Jackson (Andrew Duppstadt) of Kinston; her granddaughter Lucy Morgan Jackson of Bluffton, SC; and her sister Meta Mae Kennedy of Kinston. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and other extended family.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to either the Lenoir County Historical Association, or the Lenoir County Master Gardeners.
