It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ruby Sturgill Simmons of King, North Carolina, who passed away on November 4, 2021, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Romey Killen and Flora Mae Milam Killen; and her children, Danny, Johnny Sturgill and Deborah Lynn Veler.
She is survived by: her husband Wade Simmons; her son Rick Sturgill (Dayna) of Warrensville; and her sisters, Louise Moser of Princeton, Jean Sawyer of King and Jewell of Mt. City. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews.
