He was predeceased by: his parents, Clara Ennis and Judd Ennis. He is survived by: his wife Catherine V. Nolte Ennis; his children, Edward Ennis (Lee), Mary Ennis and Carole Cates (Darrell); his grandchildren, Maggie Ennis (Trevor Viehweg), Jacob Ennis (Lexi Baird), Clara Ennis (Andi Reinman), Darrell Cates, Jr. and Caroline Cates; and his sister Flo Gray (Ron). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
